December was a month of partying. There was probably some event happening or relative visiting every week.
Let's start in the first week of December, in which two great things happened.
1. Blue got a real, big boy job! He was hired by a nearby local engineering company, and his first day was on...
2. My birthday! I told him it was a pretty good birthday present.
We went to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate. I love their food!
I'm so special that they wrote a note to me in chocolate syrup on my plate.
Delicious cheesecake, but I think that the homemade stuff is better. The only advantage Cheesecake Factory's cheesecake has is that they have so many different flavors on hand.
Blue gave me a new camera lens for my birthday: a 50mm f/1.8 lens that should be nice for indoor photography and portraits.
The next day we invited some friends over for a party.
Brownies is rockin' the b-day hat.
I made my first ever layer cake--a dark chocolate raspberry torte. It may not have been as pretty as I hoped, but it was very rich and tasty.
We hung a sheet from the ceiling and projected Wii games onto the sheet. Yep, that's our version of a big-screen TV. The Mariokart gods smiled upon me and I managed to beat everyone most of the time.
More to come from the month of December. Maybe I'll catch up before the next birthday in our family, which means I have about a week to get my act together.
