In the tradition of the new school year, I eagerly dressed in my brand new, purchased just for school purple shirt, dark blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. I'd been saving this outfit, telling myself that I wasn't allowed to wear these items of clothing until I could show them off to my new classmates, teachers, and floundering freshman.
Blue and I walked to school, hand in hand. The day had so much promise, so much excitement waiting for me. We had almost finished the climb up the hill to campus when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Excuse me," said a cute girl with short blond hair, "you have a sticker on your pants."
I frantically turned around to rip off the sticker, the sticker I'd forgotten to remove that morning as I got ready, the sticker displaying my pants brand, cut, and size to anyone who bothered to notice on the fifteen minute walk from our house to school.
"Your pants look good," she offered as she hurried off to class.
Blue smirked at my embarrassment. "Have a good day."
Here's to hoping that good days include those in which you accidentally display your pants size to the general student populace.
LOL! I think this happens to everyone at some point! At least she told you and you weren't walking around all day with it! XD
