Thanksgiving 2012

Since Blue used many of his vacation days to go to scout camp last summer, and with a baby on the way any day now, he didn't have any to spare for the 2012 holidays. So when plans to spend Thanksgiving in Vernal fell through, and my family was going to be in California, we thought we'd have to have our own Thanksgiving.

However, after talking it over, Blue and I decided that we'd be able to drive to New Mexico to surprise Blue's entire family (except the people whose house we'd be staying at–we didn't want to overwhelm them with people).

And so, we showed up in New Mexico late the day before Thanksgiving, much to Blue's parents', sister's, and brother-in-law's surprise.

We spent lots of time playing with our nephews, J and L, and our niece, N. We enjoyed the company of and conversation with family. And I took lots of pictures.

[Commence picture overload.]

Also, do you notice anything silly about this picture?

It was a great weekend and it could be a while before we see everyone together again, since soon enough we'll have a new baby to figure out. Thanks for hosting things, H & J!
