In December I turned 25. I don't really pay attention to my age anymore, but for some reason that seems like a significant number to me. One fourth of the way to 100. Whoa.
For my birthday, I decided I wanted to go to the symphony. So after our prenatal class and lunch courtesy of my mom and dad, Blue and I drove up to Salt Lake for a fun afternoon.
We wandered around City Creek Mall. With all its designer stores, it made me feel pretty poor. But that's okay, I'm content with the things I get from Kohl's. Anywho, we got cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, which was of course delicious.
Blue was not cooperating with the picture taking. He just wanted to eat cheesecake.
Love this coat!
After the sun went down, we took in the lights at Temple Square.
Don't I look like I'm ready for Christmas?
I love the temple.
Blue cooperated for at least a couple pictures.
After that, we went to the symphony and heard music inspired by Scotland. There was a violin concerto with an insanely talented Japanese violinist that I need to listen to again just to remember how amazing he was. [Oh, I found a recording of the full symphony! This isn't the Utah Symphony or the violinist I heard, but you should still give it a listen. PS – It's 31 minutes long!
Basically, it was a really good birthday. Thanks for being such a good sport, Blue!
