Humdrum

School is back in full session.  For me, that is.  Today I made fun of Blue for playing hooky, when in reality he has no classes to play hooky from.  Still waiting for a job offer on his side of things.  There's a local company that's waiting on some contract signings, and once that happens... we hope.  But we've been hoping and stringing along for about 2 months now...

An offer would be nice.  I want a new couch, gosh-darn-it!  Also a side table and a lamp.  And a new dresser.  Plus that 50 mm f/1.8 lens has been calling my name for a while now.  But first on the list of things-to-buy is a nice, customized computer for Blue.  And we really should save money instead of spending all of it.

Being a responsible adult is hard.

I get a lot more boring when I have obligations like going to class.  (And thus I post much less here.) But it's hard to be invested in a class whose material, while related to my research, I don't ever plan to pursue after I graduate.  I am, happily, teaching a section of the organic chemistry lab again.  Teaching is what I'd like to do.

So I go to school every day, telling myself that I must, because that's one day closer to graduation.

  1. Good luck with school! :) You'll feel accomplished when you're done! How long do you have left?

I know what you're going through -- I want a new couch too and I'm trying to save up money but it's kinda difficult! I like partying and shopping too much, lol. We also need to save-up for moving. I'll try if you try! :)

Oh, btw I deleted my facebook so now I'll only be able to talk to you here... but I love your blog, so it's all good! <3
