All That Other Stuff

Because I'm no good at blogging, here's a bunch of stuff that could have gotten their own posts but will instead just get short picture updates. Proceed photo overload.

Blue and I celebrated our 4th anniversary with delicious Italian food and going to see Wicked in Salt Lake. (Yep, almost a year ago...)

Little Brown figured out he could get people to give him candy just by looking cute on Halloween.

We went to California for Thanksgiving and had a warm beach visit in which Little Brown ran right into the ocean and got sand everywhere.

Little Brown got a really bad case of croup and had to stay overnight in the hospital for breathing treatments. It was soooo sad and soooo expensive.

We celebrated Christmas with Blue's family. Little Brown really enjoyed opening presents, and was thoroughly spoiled.

I gave Little Brown a really terrible haircut he'll love to laugh at when he's my age (not the first and not the last, my friends), and Little Brown made a huge spaghetti mess at a restaurant.

Blue celebrated his birthday by taking care of a sick kid and eating cupcakes.

Little Brown turned 2! What?!

 

We celebrated nerdy holidays like Pi Day and Star Wars Day.

I've been baking up a storm (Blue's birthday cheesecake, my mom's birthday cherry pie, an Easter carrot cake, another cherry pie, and a 4th of July 3-layer cake with cream cheese frosting).

I attempted to take my own newborn pictures, with some good (if not perfect) results.

Annnd the Payson Temple Open House. I took the kids one day with my mom, and Blue and I volunteered the next day.

So that's what we've been up to lately. Along with lots of laundry, dishes, nighttime feedings, attempting to get our backyard done, trying and failing to keep Little Brown's toys contained, trying and failing to get Little Brown to eat new foods, and other things associated with being homeowners and parents. It's not glamorous, but by most accounts we're living the dream.
