Of course, the blog isn't the only thing changing its look this season. Take these vegetables, for instance:
That's Blue's dodecahedron pumpkin (with gourd insert) on the left, and my Psych pumpkin on the right. We carved them a little earlier than is probably advisable, so now they've shrunk, molded, and collapsed. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of them lit before this happened, but we were both happy with how they turned out, and I'm glad Blue got a picture of them before they deteriorated.
Blue's parents came down to visit. In addition to shopping and taking us out to eat far too many times (they're too good to us), we decided to take another drive up the Alpine Loop to see nature's fashion show. It's amazing what a difference only a week makes in the colors. The aspens at the summit had beautiful golden leaves, as opposed to the playful yellow we saw last week. However, many more leaves had fallen compared to the week before.
Blue's parents.
The beautiful mountainside.
And some lovely bokeh.
I'll say it a million times: I love our camera.
This weekend we're going to adventure on the final frontier. In costume. Look forward to it.
